Post anonymously in Facebook groups
To make an anonymous post to a Facebook group, the group must have the feature enabled. Keep in mind that group admins, moderators, and the Facebook team can still see your name on your anonymous posts. Additionally, anonymous posts will not appear immediately. You will have to wait for approval from the admin or admin of the group. To create an anonymous post in a Facebook group, you can use any device or browser to open it. The steps for creating an anonymous post are pretty much the same on all devices.
To get started, head over to Facebook, select the “Groups” option from the sidebar > in the “Groups” window, select the group to which you want to post anonymously > then click on the “Anonymous Post” option, it will open Facebook Anonymous Post window > Confirm your request by clicking Create Anonymous Post at the bottom of this window > You will now see the Create Post window. Here, click on the text field to create your post as you normally do > When you’re done, at the bottom of the window, click on Publish. So Facebook will send your post to the group’s admins and moderators, only to be published when the group’s admin approves it. And this is how you post something in a group without revealing your identity!
How to enable anonymous posting in your group
If you’re a group admin and want to enable anonymous posting in your group, here are the steps to enable the feature. To get started, head to your group > on your group screen, from the Admin Tools section on the left, select Group Settings > scroll down the Settings page to access Manage discussion > from here, click on the “Anonymous Posting” option, and activate the feature By clicking “Running” > then click “Save” at the bottom of the window. You have successfully enabled anonymous posts in your Facebook group! You can also turn off anonymous posts in your group at any time, by following the same steps and clicking on the “Stop” button. And that’s it.
It’s great that Facebook has an option like this that supports your privacy, where you can post certain content without revealing your name. This should work great for posts where you don’t want to be published for various reasons. For example, if you are posting about sensitive personal topics that may not be popular with other members of the group, anonymity can protect you from harassment. You can think of it as an effective way to get your voice heard, but in the dark!
